Subscription & Refund Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 18, 2026Version 2026-06-18 (rev. 2)

In plain terms

Working Inland is one subscription. You choose a billing period — monthly, quarterly, or annual — and the only things that differ between them are the length of that period and the price. Everything else is the same on all three: every plan renews automatically at the end of its period so your work isn't interrupted, we email you a renewal reminder at least once a year so a charge is never a surprise, and you can cancel anytime, in a couple of taps, right from your account — no phone call, no email, no retention maze. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for; that period is non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Before you pay, we show you the full amount, how often it renews, and how to cancel, and you confirm it.

This Subscription & Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service, and it works alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. One subscription, three billing periods

Working Inland is offered as a single subscription with a choice of billing period: one month, three months (quarterly), or one year (annual). The terms in this policy — auto-renewal, consent, reminders, cancellation, and refunds — are identical for all three. The only things that differ are the length of the billing period and the price. Current prices are shown at checkout and summarized at /pricing. You can take the quiz and receive your report for free; a paid subscription is only for the full Service. Turning on the AI guide is a separate, optional step; declining it — or withdrawing it later — doesn't change your price or your access to the coursework.

We process payments through Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number (see the Privacy Policy).

2. Automatic renewal and your consent

Your plan renews automatically for another period of the same length, at the end of each period, until you cancel — the same on every plan.

Before you subscribe, we show you — clearly and right next to the action — that the plan auto-renews, how often, the amount that will be charged, and how to cancel. You give your affirmative consent to that recurring charge. After you pay, we send an immediate written confirmation (by email) that repeats the renewal terms and how to cancel, so you always have it. And we email you a renewal reminder — at least once a year, on every plan — with plain instructions on how to cancel, so a charge is never a surprise. For annual plans, that reminder arrives 25 to 40 days before the renewal; for shorter terms (monthly or quarterly), we send it 25 to 40 days before the renewal that extends your subscription past a one-year anniversary — your first year, and once a year for every year after. You can cancel at any time (Section 4).

3. Billing

At the start of each period, we charge for that period; we show you the full amount and ask you to confirm before you pay. At the end of the period, the plan renews for another period of the same length and the next charge is made, until you cancel.

After any purchase or renewal, we email you a confirmation that includes what you bought, the amount, the date, and how to cancel or manage your plan.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account settings through a direct, one-step online cancellation — the same way you signed up, online, and identical on every plan. We will never make you call, email, or pass through a retention flow to cancel. If we ever show you a retention offer or discount when you go to cancel, we'll display a prominent, direct cancellation link right next to it, so your choice is immediate and unobstructed.

Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and nothing is charged after that.

5. Refunds

The period you've already paid for is non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law — the same whether your period is a month, a quarter, or a year. We confirm the full amount with you before you pay, and we send you a renewal reminder at least once a year.

If you were charged due to a system or administrative error on our part — such as a duplicate charge, or a charge after you'd successfully completed cancellation — contact us at billing@workinginland.com and we'll make it right.

6. Failed payments

If a charge fails, we may retry a reasonable number of times and will let you know. If it can't be resolved, access may pause until it is. We won't keep charging a card that's clearly not working.

7. Changes to prices and to this policy

We may change our prices, and we reserve the right to do so. Any change applies only to future charges — it never affects a period you've already paid for.

If we ever raise the price of a plan you're on, we need your agreement first. We won't quietly charge you more. Before any increase could apply, we'll email you in advance, turn off your automatic renewal so nothing is charged at the new rate, and ask you to affirmatively accept the new price. Accept it, and your subscription continues at the new price. Do nothing, or decline, and your subscription simply finishes at the end of the period you've already paid for and doesn't renew — you are never charged a higher price you didn't agree to.

If we ever lower your price, it simply takes effect. We'll give you advance notice, and the lower price applies on your next renewal — nothing for you to do, and your subscription continues as normal. (We'll always include how to cancel, in case you'd like to anyway.)

If we make material changes to this policy itself, we'll give you notice and post the updated version here with its effective date.

8. Taxes

Prices may not include applicable taxes, which are your responsibility where they apply. Any tax is shown at checkout where required.
